How to Help: The Humanitarian Way

I just recently found out about this organization. I have been in love with TOMS shoes for a few years because when you buy something, someone else also gets something. I love that idea! Most average people are not just willing to give a GOOD donation to an organization, so why not sell things and give part of the profits away?
I agree that there are other ways to do this, and yes many ideas are out there. BUT I love this kind of idea. It is my opinion.
There is another organization that gives BOOKS. You buy a book and a book goes to a child to learn!

I totally wish I would have thought of it first, but I didn't. Alas, I will have to come up with an all new idea myself! But this one is sweet and I wish to share it.

I work with kids and even here in the states some don't have ANY books. They are behind on their education when they start going to school and then have to catch up to every one else. Part of the problem is the parents. They are just too LAZY to teach their children anything. But what if we at least gave families the OPPORTUNITY to teach. Especially in countries where they cannot afford books, they would be so grateful.
